Floods
The smeared, color-flood is the most powerful visual gesture present in the work. It’s an expression of the internal body, and also the residue of a mistake, an attempt to wipe away a stain that only makes it worse. It is a strong, emotive mark, associated with violence, and it presents as a metaphorical meaning of social disapproval.
