This year’s Beacon Open Studios curated group winter show is themed. It is about growth, an artist's failures, successes and the complicated process of it all. We are encouraging our applicants to consider the following questions:
• What have you learned from your past work and elected to bring into your present or future? Was it a conscious choice?
• How much of your growth was influenced by your environment or outside force, how much was deliberate study and practice?
• How does failure in your work or otherwise, inform your success? How do you determine failure?
