Preparing a space
OK, I am starting to think about a space. Since these paintings are objects rather than images, I am trying to figure out how they are working together, if they tell a story, and if there is additional context needed. I still like the idea of a prayer rug, or a space for contemplation. I like the idea of an offering, a tribute or a relic left behind. In numbers, the paintings become muses. With the pillows, they become a venerable space. with the crowns, they make a definite statement, I’m just not sure what it is.
