A.I. An Interruption
And now for something completely different.
Maybe as a reaction to stress, and maybe a need for an interruption, I have started experimenting with what A.I. can do. With MidJourney, I plugged in some text around the concepts of shrouded bodies, landscape, goddesses.
However, I have grown tired of the darkness, and have been playing with concepts of poodle puppies and rainbows in a sky full of cotton candy clouds. Pure fantasy, joy, and happiness.
Puppy parade in the Book of Hours? Or in the style of Giotto?
AI is a tool, and it is not going away. Like the computer, which made my job as a graphic designer so much easier that I can design 10 times as man book covers a season from my home office, AI offers an opportunity to expand what we can do.
A creative spark stems from an artist, and they use all sorts of strategies to develop a vision.
Democratization: Maybe it’s easy to create images for fun, maybe there will be a lot of crap. There is already a lot of crap because everyone can be a designer with InDesign, and everyone can be a photographer with Photoshop. Skill, talent? or adaptation?
I don’t know where human use of AI leads, but in any case, we should be polite to it.
