A prison of one’s own making

This tasche evolved out of frottage on my studio floor.

Trying to hold together so as to not come undone. In the time of this pandemic, I am reminded of 9/11 right now. For me, the disruption brought pivotal change to my life. New Yorkers (with the rest of the country rallying behind) came together in a shared experience. There are two separate cultures in America today, and I don’t see a way for us to meet in the middle.
